dead black hearts (formerly known as fairlane) is a rock group from College Station and Austin, Texas who has been on the local music scene, both in their hometown and surrounding areas, for over four years. After over a year of recording and production, they have released their first full-length album drawing on numerous musical influences ranging from Toadies to Radiohead.
It's not me. It's you., which might overall be classified as alternative, uses grunge, indie, and garage rock, complimented with atmospheric melody and texture, to create something distinct and refreshing. From ethereal and reflective ("Scorched Earth", "I Can") to distorted and raunchy ("Just Like You Said", "Someone"), dead black hearts explores a range of sounds while remaining cohesive.
