ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Reid and Brian are dead black hearts. We met years ago and had been playing with different musicians throughout college, playing live shows and cavorting around. With our latest EP 'Five Gallant Steeds', we spent time focusing on song writing, musical textures, and a sound cultivated more from being inspired by music than aspiring to making music. Recorded almost entirely in our home studio in Austin, TX, 'Five Gallant Steeds', blends organic instruments, recording techniques, and performances with electronic, programmed rhythm and production, taking inspiration from artists like The Secret Machines, The Flaming Lips and Radiohead. Our long-time friend & musician extraordinaire, James Ryan, also helped with 'Five Gallant Steeds', lending his musical powers to to the drum tracks.
