notes
Welcome to CD number two from Canadian Blues Rocker Lou DeAdder! 10 songs - all original - 8 vocal tunes - 2 instrumentals. The music comprises a mix of Rockin' Blues, a few Ballads, some Funky R&Bish stuff, Jazz flavours and Progressive Outside Material - not just a blues album or a rock album but much more than that.
Instrumentation: Lou (Lou D) DeAdder (Guitar, Vocals, Songwriter, Producer), Brett (Stella) Piekarz (Bass, Producer, Engineer), Franko Woodcock (Drums, Background Vocals), Leo Sullivan (Tenor, Alto and Baritone Sax and Flute), Steve McDade (Trumpet), Steve O'Connor (Piano and Organ), John Marmora (Organ), Doug Johnson (Pedal Steel).
Tunes: 1. Ain't Got Two Nickels (Rockin' Blues thumper) 2. Slow Down (Funky R&B tune - fabulous Trumpet and Sax solos from Steve McDade and Leo Sullivan) 3. Chills (features wah wah Guitar solos) 4. Wobbly Pop (demented instrumental - written in the 70's and originally called Bum Pudding) 5. Searchin' For My Baby (more traditional kind of Blues tune - uptempo with lots of Horns and a Piano solo from Steve O'Connor) 6. Comin' Home (ballad - Accoustic Guitar solo and fills with Pedal Steel from Doug Johnson) 7. Goin' Down To Texas (features some raw Slide Guitar - very solid) 8. Believe (ballad kind of tune but not real slow - surprise Flute solo from Leo - three guitar solos - the first one uses an octave box) 9. Without You (Rockin' Blues thumper - opens with a double Guitar part) 10. The Funky Strudel (instrumental - great Trumpet and Sax solos from Steve McDade and Leo Sullivan - crosses that line into jazz/rock fusion).
