Deadman's Shoes is named for a great song by Presley Haskell, a groundbreaking musician whose untimely death in 1991 is still mourned. The band: Dave Thomas, Blaine Schultz, Jeffery Lauwasser, and Mike Farrow. Deadman's Shoes, made up of four seasoned musicians, brings a wealth of experience, musical styles, and influences to original tunes that suggest the swagger of the Stones, the impudence of Steve Earle, the heartbreak of Hank Williams (the first) and the devil-may-care attitude of the Replacements. They bring a fondness for authentic rockabilly and country music to the sensibilities of stripped down, straight ahead roots rock. Just remember: guitar, bass, vocals, drums.
