Cooks Point Demos is a collection of home recordings of songs written and performed by Dean Ferrell.
These recording were originally meant only for use in registering these songs with the copyright office,
however after several requests I decided to make the CD available to the public. The recordings were made
to computer hard drive using Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio ®, an M-Audio ® Delta 1010LT pci recording card,
Shure ® microphones and Alvarez ® guitars. All music was performed by Dean Ferrell, except drums on
"Knew Better than That" which were played by JaeCee Ferrell. Thank you to all my
family and friends for putting up with my antics over the years leading to these stories and songs with
special thanks to my Father and Grandfather (Jerry C. and J.C. Ferrell) for "working in the sun" for the
family, Chad and Kelly for getting me through tough times, my mother Betty Ferrell for listening even
though she didn't care for the subject matter, Amanda Slafka for everything, Jake, Tuesday and JaeCee
Ferrell for advice, drums and photos, Kelly VonDrehle for help on the graphics design, Lisa Wilson for
housing assistance, the Mitchell brothers (Mitch, Mark and Sean), Justin Coleman from another dry
county, Duddley's and the regulars for the inspiration, Stacy Ferrell for shaking my life up and mostly
our Lord Jesus Christ for saving me and keeping me alive,
through it all. --Dean
