Album Notes
Fusing rock, metal, pop, punk, and prog-rock, Deathtrap America have created a sound they refer to as "Boutique Punk". An energetic, hopeful sound that is as positive as it is fierce, staying true to the aesthetics of the punk genre, while stretching their wings to grow.
The self titled album offers up an inspiring chance for awareness of the world around us, as well as thoughts of a better day. The balls out riffs of Queens of the Stone Age and the Wildhearts can be heard throughout the album, as well as the catchy melodies and cleverly insightful lyrics of Butch Walker. The heavy rockin' of the Sword and Helmet are scattered through out, The Ramones have also left their mark here, and let's not let the song structure of the purveyors of prog-rock, Rush, go unnoticed.
With the determination and hope we wake with everyday, we bring you the self titled album, "Deathtrap America" ....helping you believe once again.
