Album Notes

Deborah Dicembre is a seasoned singer songwriter from Australia. She has worked all over the world, most notably spending 3 years in NYC performing, writing and recording. With a Jazz musician Minister father, a mother who sang , a grandmother who lead the choir & a sister who accompanied her solo performances on the piano, Deborah grew up in a rich melting pot of music styles including jazz, country, gospel & pop. Her music reflects her heritage. Deborah plays, performs & writes on the guitar & piano. She is well known for her harmony vocal arrangements and Accapella group Full Body Message. This CD contains a great body of work full of catchy melodies & heavenly harmony ; delighting the listener on every track.
In her own words:- 'The Ballad Of Malcolm Campbell', is a tribute song I wrote , in memory of a friend of mine who grew up in our neighborhood. Malcolm died as a young man fighting the battle of pain & addiction. Sadly he wasn't alone or victorious in his struggle against a broken heart & self medication. The song tells the story of his immigration from Scotland with his parents and their inability to give him a safe home or hold it together. A true story. This CD is dedicated
to the lives we lead & the Wayside Chapel in Kings Cross Sydney Australia. Through their Youth program, they take in & care for in practical ways, young men & women. They are dedicated to turning around one precious life at a time, encouraging young people to live their lives with friendship & hope, not dying in the middle of them or wishing it to end. All the proceeds of the sale of this CD will go to the Wayside Chapel Youth Program.
Throughout Deborah's career she has won numerous awards for both singing and writing.
