How refreshing is that?!  Perfect tunes for decompressing from a busy day.  I have grown so tired of "Country Western", (whatever that is anymore).  This is wonderful, new again music.  Makes me think of my Dad singing "Don't Fence Me In" playing his Ukelele (of all things!).  You go guys!

What a beautiful voice! and perfectly matched to the wonderful lyrics which make up this CD.  If you're a fan of "Home on the Range" genre of music or even if you're not you'll find the lyrics to the songs on this CD will touch your soul and perhaps make you yearn for an easier time. Not easy physically but easy in love, easy in truth and freedom. Nothing like sitting around a campfire (or a back porch) and listening to the soulful music that will touch your core and have you singing along while carrying the tune in your step for days and days to come. My favorite (if one can actually pick a favorite) is "Lonesome As The Prairie."  Ms. Johnson does the lyrics proud - and vice versa - you will not be disappointed.

My bestfriend gave me this CD and I have played it non-stop ever since. The words just pierce my heart and the voice reminds me of Nancy Griffith a little. "Lonesome as the Prairie" makes me cry, "Silver Lining Mountain" makes me sigh, and all of them fill me with peace and calm. I love how the whole CD keeps you in a trancedant place without throwing you off with an all too sudden abnoxious rock out song right in the middle. I hate it when that happens--but this is a perfect blend of harmony, heart and soul.LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!

For just a few moments, I can ride to a remote canyon with millions of brilliant stars shining over. I can almost feel a campfire burning, hear the steady clomping of the horses hooves and the cry of a distant coyote.   For these few moments I'm free.  Thank you Chuck. Your lyrics are a song that sings to parts deep inside of me and calms my spirit. I feel part of you when Deborah sings. The part of the world that you love is conveyed through your songs, and her voice, to my soul. You bring me back to a simpler time in my life. How can I thank you for such a wonderful gift?
