These Caffeinated Classics make Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Shostakovich and even Kabalevsky come alive with the current sounds of rock, jazz and even hip-hop. What started out with a cup of coffee between DEBORAH JOHNSON & WAYLAND PICKARD turned into DOUBLE GRANDÉ. They are often called the new FERRANTE & TEICHER and AMERICA’S PREMIER PIANO/VOCAL DUO.

Both Wayland and Deborah are consummate musicians with many awards to their credit. They are not only National Recording Artists, but they are Touring Musicians and Composers with songs placed in film and TV. LA Metro Magazine calls WAYLAND the new MR. ENTERTAINMENT and DEBORAH’S voice is likened with SARA BRIGHTMAN.

What started out with a cup of coffee at Starbucks turned into DOUBLE GRANDÉ. With the ability to go from jazz to pop to classics, they discovered their arranging styles were an easy match. With both Deborah’s and Wayland’s musical heritages tracing back to grandmothers who came overseas to play violin in Carnegie Hall, you will be astounded at the fact that two stars in their own galaxies came together to collide and explode as the new DOUBLE GRANDÉ EXPERIENCE.
