Genuinely inspired and heart-grabbing, an eclectic creation of over an hour of lushly produced, mostly original soft rock ballads with sophisticated classical elements, gorgeous vocals and angelic harmonies reminiscent of the Carpenters and Beach Boys.

Debra Alt is originally from New York City. She has performed in coffeehouses and clubs throughout the New York metropolitan area. She has been in country, rock and club dates bands, most notably the Rolling Stone Magazine house band in the late 1970's. She moved to the shoreline of Connecticut with her daughter where she produced her first CD of mostly original songs entitled, "A Spirited Mother". She has finished her second CD, "In Broad Daylight," and is out performing.

  • Move over Celine and Kenny

    I got this because she sings a song by one of my favorite singers Kenny Loggins. It is a duet with her guitar player since Kenny wrote it as a father explaning to his child why he divorced (after his first marriage) I hope Kenny has heard this. Also included are some songs that sound like Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. There is also a cover of the Indigo Girls' LOVE WILL COME YOUR WAY, the classic PETER PAN classic "Never Never Land" and "All the Way". I would reccomend for people who like: Celine Dion Barbra Streisand Kenny Loggins The Carpenters

The CD has true inner and outer beauty. The introductory message stating Debra's desire to soothe, inspire and celebrate the fact that the best interests of our children are only served when we are true to ourselves, certainly is accomplished. Her love for songwriting and singing shines throughout. Her bell-like voice is so crystal clear and reminiscent of Helen Reddy's lovely sound. There is so much talent and ability and all the writing on the inside is extremely interesting and insightful. Songs like Born of Light touched me deeply and profoundly. This CD will remain in my car to soothe and inspire me daily.
