The League of Decency has been Atlanta, Georgia's prime purveyor of Swing, Soul, and Rock n' Roll since 1984. (Waaay before the big Swing scare of 1999.) The band included a three-piece horn section and rhythm section with a male vocalist at the time of this recording.
We keep selling out of this album every year because it holds up so well over time. The tunes are already favorites and the arrangements are outstanding. Check out Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas" arranged by Tommy Stewart who has worked for many greats - Joe Tex for one. Nice solos on all tracks. Vocals range from silky smooth, Sting-like deliveries to gritty blues-shouts.
A perfect CD for a Christmas Party. Ho! Ho! Ho! And a Merry Christmas to you!
