Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Patrick DeCoste (pronounced "d-coast") has been making a name for himself not only on the instrumental guitar circuit but also on the global music scene. His performance resume spans over a 3,000 mile radius from the rugged Northeast to the sunny Southwest. Since his debut performance in Berklee College of Music's famed Performance Center at age 16, DeCoste has performed and headlined in various "Singer/ Songwriter" & "Guitar Night" showcases at many of Boston & San Diego's premier venues as both an electric and acoustic act.
After a year of taking lessons at a local music store, DeCoste studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music's Summer Institute. A year later, he went on to receive full-tuition scholarships to Berklee's year-round SYSTEM 5 programs and their prestigious 5 Week Summer Programs while also attending their Summer Guitar Sessions where he honed his skills in Music Theory, Harmony, Composition, Guitar Styles & Performance. Today, several of his music columns have been published on various websites and e-zines. DeCoste is also currently an Ernie Ball/ Music Man endorsing artist.
Since becoming a solo artist in 2003, DeCoste's music has dominated the local and global MP3.com charts, ranking as high as number 1 in the "Guitar Rock" category of their Massachusetts charts and number 13 in the "Instrumental Rock" Global charts. His instrumental, "Greasy Fingers", was named the number 5 instrumental of 2003 by a European AOR website and his music has been showcased at various sporting events and received airplay on major college and commercial radio stations.

"This is instrumental guitar music at its best with technically brilliant performances and mature songwriting..."- AOR-Europe.com (Germany)
"Even though the album is an independent release, the packaging is perfect, tasty and professional and the music is even better. Recommended to fans of instrumental guitar music and not only to them, as it is easy-to-digest, catchy stuff." - RockUnited.com (Germany)
"Patrick released a demo CD last year just to tease us with its few tracks of unsurpassed musicality. Here's his debut album. The thing that makes it great is Patrick's impeccable sense of composition. You never get bored listening to this CD, and you never feel like you've heard it before... He has chops enough to impress the noodle-fans, but beyond that he has taste and restraint." - FretNet Radio (Australia)
"This kid is good. Whether you're a fan of instrumental music or not, you have to admit this guy knows his instrument. DeCoste can tell a story without once uttering a single word. His styles are varied from Pink Floyd influence to more groove-rock oriented songs with Van Halen-esque soloing. DeCoste is definitely someone to keep an eye out for." - Louder Magazine (USA)

Inside The Unsaid: Pure Music!
author: Alfred L. Watkins III
Inside the Unsaid takes the listener through a process that began quite some time ago in the mind of Patrick DeCoste. It is a consistent album even though it was a collection of musical thoughts that ran a varied range of time. I thought the album was an honest and pure effort that makes me wonder... "This is his debut album?" I enjoyed the album and can't wait to hear more. "Inside The Unsaid" has been stated just right!

Awesome guitar, great songwriting.
author: Brendan
It may seem weird to talk about songwriting on an album that has no lyrics, but that's probably what separates this album from most others. DeCoste can play the hell out of his guitar, and burn with the best of them, but the real talent is the way he tells stories and paints pictures without any vocals at all. Stuff like Premonition and Home are pure gold.

Guitarist extraordinaire, CD extraordinary
author: Sean
Patrick has released the best guitar album (sorry, CD!) since Surfing With The Alien. His guitar playing on Inside The Unsaid captivates the listener, whether he's playing acoustic or electric. Like other guitar greats, Pat has a sound that is his own, and his CD stands out immediately when first listened to. The songs are memorable, easily becoming stuck in your head, yet there aren't any lyrics. The production should also be mentioned, as it is flawless. The CD sounds fantastic. Take a listen, then do yourself a service and buy it.
