Dee Arthur ad the Flytrapper are two brothers that have captured the funk and took it to another level. The combination of the two different styles gives these two
artist's the competitive edge.
Dee Arthur, who's real name is Creston Williams was born in
Portland Oregon. Since his mother traveled a lot doing local talent shows for different cities, Dee had himself a
prime outlet for his talents. When he was 14 years old he
was Beatboxing with several crews in theLos Angeles inner
city area. By the time he was 18 he had bounced from crew
to crew and decided he wanted to pursue a career n rapping
and was known as Quicksand -aka- The Skunk. As the ime went on and he built up valuable experience,he decided to hold
it down with his middle name Dee Arthur, a poet of these
wicked times. Since he felt life was filled with hardcore
pressures and haters, he wanted to write about the realistic
side of life.
In 1996 Dee released a solo LP called, "Micizm".
Unfortunatly it remained unseen and unheard because of
unsavory business tactics.
Flytrapper, his real life brother, and partner in crime
who's real name is Jamal Hall, was born in Los Angeles but
raised in Compton, California. His mother Patricia Hall
was the support for Fly, but being raised on the Compton
streets, he chose to be hardheaded and stay on the run.
By the Mid eighties when Dee and Fly connected, they knew
that they were the perfect pair. Now together laying claim
to Dee Arthur and the Flytrapper.
Technique combined with skills and format make this a very
high energy duo. The twist of this soulful hip hop funk
gives these artist's that click.
Dee Arthur and The Flytrapper are a team that won't be denied. So it goes down in 2070's Music Group History.
Dee Arthur and the Flytrapper bring you the funk, uncut,
at it's purest form. This is why music is everlasting and still has parts unchartered. Their contribution to this
art is invaulable, and by the sounds of the production and
lyrical style plus their content and creativity it will
be played for years to come.
