Album Notes

Chances are you've never heard of Dee Eye Zee or ever even been to Chicago yourself. However, I've been kicking around the Windy City scene for the last five years or so, perfecting the melodic jams that have come to be Highbias Entertainment.

I was always interested in repeative sounds and fondly remember looping NES music onto cassettes as a child. I became enamered with lyricism in my early teens and rapped over other folks beats for awhile, producing my lyrics with an old OS 9 track editing program. Oh man I was youngin then. It took a few years before realizing how unfufilling this was and towards the end of high school, I set down the mic as my primary practice and took a year hiatus to sharpen my chops as an instrumentalist. I built a nice setup and by the time I was 18, I put out the first release I can really say I'm proud of, "Ignorance Is Louder And Less Articulate" (2005).

In 2006, "Color Scheme" and "The Ugly Side of Breathing" followed up the first album, but unfornatunately they didn't sell as well as I had hoped. Feeling a bit discouraged, I hit the drawing board again, bought a new control surface, and decided to kick it up a notch (you know, to 11). I spent the entire next year crafting a complex entourage of jams sampling from the most eclectic mix of material I've ever attacked (everything from Bob Dylan to Akira). After a long wait, I released this bahemoth in October 2007 under the title Buddy System and the new alias, Oseo.

A new album, "Say Uncle", is in the works featuring a majority of heavy soul and funk content. Look for it February 2008!
