The Deep End is an artistic rock band centered in New York, NY. Three of four members have been trained in contemporary music at Musictech College in St. Paul, MN. Since their move to NY in 2003, The Deep End has performed at The
Elbow Room, CB's 313, Hogs and Heifers, Continental, Don Hills, and many
others. The band has perfomed various corporate gigs including the 2004
National Hog Chapter rally where they opened for Rick Derringer, and the
Harley Davidson open house. "With their onstage experience together, The
Deep End has developed a refined, tight sound that wows audiences of all
demographics."- Cynda Jones of Blackburst media and Cyndacation.
The Deep End has independently written and produced five albums and sold thousands of copies worldwide. The group has enjoyed recent radioplay in Coney Island, Florida, Texas, California, Maryland, Minnesota, Japan, and Australia. The bands' song, "Chaos control" finished first runner-up in the VH1 Song of the Year contest for the month of February. Upon reviewing the song, VH1's panel of judges replied, "The lyrics are sensual and extremely well worded, with a magnificent flow. The music has a strong classic rock appeal with a fresh new sound that the listener won't be able to get enough of!"
The Deep End's sixth album, Rock n' Roll for Sale, is a journey back to their acoustic roots, blending electric folk with rock and roll. Largely, a personal assault on today's music business, this album contains some of the groups heaviest lyrical content to date. With themes also ranging from the plight of the Iriqois to the settlement of new territories, this seventy-nine minute LP takes the listener through traces of american history and the demolishing of popular art-forms as it progresses toward the modern society. A stark contrast from previous works, this album is a fresh look at the ever-changing band and an essential piece of The Deep End collection.
