Album Notes

"A man's work is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened."

-Albert Camus

"The name Kali means "black", but has by folk etymology come to mean "force of time (kala)". Despite her negative connotations, she is today considered the goddess of time and change."

Untamed Rock & Roll
author: Juan Salvador
Once upon a time Rock & Roll was music full of life, therefore the recordings captured that, you could feel the music on your skin. Later, Big Corporations took over Rock music and transformed it into a brand. So, the sound became "polished" and quite clean. Actually too clean and sterile, anemic. A safe tamed sound. But now we have this new band named The Deepsea Goes and this EP filled with untamed, alive and wild Rock & Roll. The way it should be. The music is quite powerful, the production is great since you can feel every note on your skin. It's Rock with a texture and with a soul, beyond genres (punk, lo fi, etc.). The bottom line is that The DeepSea Goes plays great Rock & Roll, period. Listening the whole EP in a single session gives the feeling that it's a big song, which is a great feeling. So, it's powerful Rock & Roll and it's great. Buy it.
