Album Notes

"Utilizing the best aspects of trance, techno, ambient and house sensibilities, DeGiacomo serves up a deliciously dark brew of wonderful sounds sure to exercise your senses. The composer succeeds in drawing us into a netherworld rich with imagination and atmosphere."
Ben Kettlewell
Alternate Music Press

"...the trance inducing ASA NISI MASA by John DeGiacomo, who has worked with Philip Glass and drag diva Joey Arias, features dark-side ambiance with a melodic Eastern tinge...on listening stations at Virgin Superstores in New York, L.A. and San Francisco. Perfect music to transform by."

Asa Nisi Masa, December 5, 2002
By Horhay (NY, NY United States) - See all my reviews
For anyone who appreciates electronica, trance and new world music, this album blends all these influences into bold, exotic and dreamy tracks ranging from upbeat and danceable to dark and mysterious. DeGiacomo is a master of different moods and feels, as well as interesting beats. His music provides great soundtracks for whatever is going on in or out of your head. I hope to hear a lot more from him and I suspect other listeners will too.

A Winner--righly textured and exciting music, November 20, 1998 Reviewer: A music fan
This CD is a definite winner--full of surprises. This music is an exciting blend of so many different cultural memories that it encompasses a myriad of musical experiences and creates a new musical language. Complex and exciting, it is both richly textured and primal
