Album Notes

'Deja Boston Pop 'n Blues' is the final blend of 'smokin' Chicage Blues, and melodic pop rock, with a bit of 'jangle rock' thrown in.

'Sweet Jerry D.'s' love for guitar music started at a very young age. At age 11, he started studying guitar at the old Boston School of Music, in Cambridge Ma. Twice a week, he would lug that old Vega solid body (his first axe) on the bus across town. A few years later, and through high school, his band 'Jerry and the Gents' entertained locally. A stint in the blues circuit followed with the 'Blueshackers' then the Pop trio, 'Radio Days'.

Jerry's creative lyric and music writing peaked with the formation of 'The Eighth Crossing' a quartet that specialized in ORIGINAL material consisting of 'knock out' harmonies, and modern chord changes.

Known for their very lyrical sound, a CD followed in 1996. Radio interviews, and local exposure on Boston's south shore.

In 1999 a splinter group formed and called themselves, 'Deja^Vu, Boston Blues'. And now the ultimate blend of time and experience, 'Deja Boston, Pop 'n Blues' "Listen to the words...."

I bought this CD off the net after hearing it on a cyberadio sta. Since then I cant stop listening to it. The melodies, lyrics are fly. It sounds like a blend of rockin blues Yardbirds vs Byrds. Pick it up.
