Melanie Dekker is a spirited groovy chick who just wants to grab ya. She does so with heartbreak, heartache and a heart that is totally in love. Dekker is an awardwinning composer and a gutsy performer. You're likely to catch her giggling in fun and sweating with enthusiasm at her shows. "Just Because" has a progressive pop sound which gives you a sweet and upbeat experience.
Melanie's unique guitar playing blends heavy rhythmic strokes and guitar body beats,."Wow you dont play like a girl" is something we hear all the time. Dekker's vocal style captures the depth of her songs with a cool combination of power and sensitivity.
"Just Because" contains the Canadian a/c top 40 radio hit "I Said I" . There is a casual, fresh and natural approach to Dekker's songs, which are warm and approachable like she is.

Takes Your Breath Away
author: BobMelanie's music is smoothe but daring. The lyrics are thoughtful, and her voice makes you want to never stop listening. All I can say is she is one of the most talented singer/songwriters I have seen.

author: DirkI like those kind of voice. She reminds me of Sheryl Crow. Not only because she looks like her. It´s also the lyrics and music of her songs that impresses me much. As I always said, it´s not the few famous persons who made good music. It´s the unknown that you need to look for. It´s simply very good music! And I hope to see her soon live playing in Germany.
