Album Notes

A criminally overlooked '80s alternative pop classic is now once again available in the US. We've plundered the EMI vaults and uncovered the long lost b-sides to the original 12 inch singles (Sticks And Stones Girl and Hammering Heart) that were released from the album (including an offbeat cover of Van Morrison's classic Brown Eyed Girl). Del's lead singer Justin Currie kindly supplied us with a slew of classic photos and memorabilia that we've reproduced for the package and he even penned the liner notes. The package also includes complete song lyrics and all 14 tracks have been digitally remastered by Tom Baker at Precision Mastering.

Amazing.

This is one of the most under-rated albums ever released. While Del Amitri went on to great fame during their A&M career - nothing they ever did came close to matching the sheer pop brilliance of their self-titled debut album. The sound quality of this remaster is amazing. And the CD has ALL of the b-sides from the singles from this album. Do yourself a favor, if you're a fan of early '80s pop music - and buy this album!!
