Album Notes

Delaney is a rock band currently based out of Portland, OR.

Three songwriters with separate influences ensure that Delaney's lyrical themes speak to many listeners, and their similar tastes in music - yet entirely different trainings - provide for an eclectic, unique and entertaining spin on rock n' roll.

Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Lee Barbara comes from a jazz background and joined the band after living in Seattle and playing professionally. Bassist/vocalist/songwriter Bobby Seus founded the group, having studied classical music in college. Keyboard player/songwriter Mike Maimone and drummer Mike Fremeau both studied music at various points in their careers, but sight classic rock records as their primary training tool.

The 3 songwriters flew to Medford in January 2006 to write and track their first EP, then parted ways and mixed with the help of Mike Hassenpflug via email. The group finally converged in Indiana to release the EP on May 6th, opening for Phantom Planet at St. Mary's College.

Currently Delaney is living in Portland, playing around the Northwest, and tracking demo's in preparation for recording their first full-length professional album in the Spring. The demo tracks are available for streaming on their website at www.delaneyband.com/boards.
