“These are talented folks and I found the CD delightful.”
John Kander, Composer
Patricia Dell is a versatile performer with a career that has taken her throughout the United States performing in concert, recital, opera, and musical theater. She began her career at an early age as a tap-dancing member of the Dell Family performing for many years at USO Shows, State Fairs and other venues throughout her native Michigan. Voice lessons and singing, along with dancing, occupied her teenage years. While at the University of Southern California she discovered a love for classical singing that has taken her throughout the United States and Canada performing in concert, recital, opera and musical theater. Always looking to expand her knowledge and technique, Patricia went back to school, earning a Masters in Voice from the Mannes College of Music in 1997.
Working with the Center for Contemporary Opera in New York City she has appeared in several productions, where her credits include creating the role of Mrs. Stevenson in the World Premiere of Jack Beeson\'s SORRY, WRONG NUMBER (released on CD by Albany Records) and the role of Doll in the World Staged Premiere of Daron Hagen\'s VERA OF LAS VEGAS. Continuing to perform, she has added teaching to her life and is currently a Professor on the voice faculty at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
Kent Brown is also a native Midwesterner who has been a church organist since age 12 and earned his Master of Music degree from the University of Texas. He teaches piano privately and is Music Director of Margaretville and Fleischmanns United Methodist Churches in Delaware County, New York.
Currently, Patricia and Kent are busy performing their other programs “The Best of Times … Music and Lyrics of Jerry Herman” and “The Sweetest Sounds…Love Songs of Richard Rodgers” for audiences throughout the New York area.
