The favourite vocalist of composers like Ennio Morricone and Alessandro Alessandroni. She performed legendary interpretations of themes from movies such as "Il gatto a nove code" ("The Cat O'Nine Tails"), "C'era una volta il west" ("Once Upon a Time in the West"), "Le foto proibite di una signora perbene" ("Forbidden photos of a lady above suspicion") and many more.
She has published solo albums too, like "It's time to sing" and "Al Cinema con Edda Dell'Orso" (Hexacord).

The voice of so many movies has a name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edda Dell'Orso, a voice I have heard so many times without knowing! She's been is my movie dreams and I always wandered who was this incredible singer, reaching notes that would be a hard challenge for an opera singer. This cd shows her incredible vocal, her ability to turn a "ooo aaa uuu sh sh" into a masterpiece! The live tracks are nice but recording is quite poor! Edda, another album, please!!!!!!

I didn't know this CD existed until I went searching for more information about Edda dell'Orso, the great voice of so many wonderful spaghetti western scores. On this album she does old standards, show tunes, movie themes, blues, a spiritual, and even a classical aria. All of it is stunning, and a must for those who want to hear more of "the voice."
