DeLon is a voting member of the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION(CMA) and has been a member since 2002.

DeLon's second album, "HIGHWAYS OF LIFE", contains 12 songs, 11 of which, he wrote himself.

DeLon has just achieved a real mile-stone in his music career. From April, 2006 through May, 2009, he now has 38 consecutive months of being ranked on the "TOP 200" total airplay chart, published by Joyce Ramgatie. His average ranking on the chart has been approximately 13.5 for this period of time. Following are the details of his performance on this chart:

DeLon was informed, early in April,2006 that he has made his debut in the #67 spot on the "RAMGATIE TOP 200" AIRPLAY CHART. This chart is compiled and published by Joyce Ramgatie in The Netherlands. GOOGLE ranks Joyce's chart as the #1 independent air-play chart. The competition, for each charting period, includes over 3,000 artists, all trying to obtain air-play time on radio around the world.

It is with great pleasure, that we bring the following news to you: DeLon made a rapid climb to the top of this chart and from April,2006 through his current #2 ranking on May 15, 2009, DeLon has had a total of eight #1 rankings; twelve #2 rankings; eleven #3 rankings and many, many rankings in the "top 20" of this total airplay chart. John Rees, DeLon's producer, music arranger and keyboard player on his albums, has assembled another great group of Nashville musicians playing on this album. Jimmy Capps,a member of the Grand Ole Opry staff band in Nashville and a well-known sessions musician plays lead guitar. Hal Rugg, steel guitar player and member of the steel guitar player's Hall of Fame, makes an appearance on the song, WHAT CONDITION IS OUR COUNTRY IN?--PART II". The mix of musical instruments is really exciting, including lead guitar, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, steel guitar, keyboards, drums, fiddle, dobro and banjo. You will enjoy listening to this album over and over again.

"WHAT CONDITION IS OUR COUNTRY IN?--PART II" is a song addressing the situation after the 9/11 tragedy in the USA. This song prompted personal letters to DeLon from both President George Bush and then-mayor of New York City, Rudy Guilani.

DeLon, a former professional baseball player and businessman
began his career in 1997, when he made his first trip to Nashville to record his debut album, "DeLon--TRADITIONAL COUNTRY", which can also be found at the cdbaby.com site.

DeLon is very much into physical fitness, working out at a gym 5-6 times per week and playing on a fast-pitch baseball team several times per week. They refer to the much younger stars in Nashville as the "flat bellies" and DeLon certainly belongs in this group, even with the difference in ages.

The music he writes is going to reflect story songs, love songs, feel-good songs and songs to make you think and make a decision as to where you stand on certain social issues. He has spent the summer of 2004, writing new music in preparation for another country album and his first-ever Christian/Gospel country album. DeLon has said, "whatever happens in the future, I will not deviate from what I do, nor will I join the Nashville style of contemporary, pop/rock country music, when writing new songs. I know this, and that is I will always keep trying to be "KEEPIN' IT COUNTRY"!!!

DeLon wishes to thank the many, many fans, who are supporting his music career by buying his CD albums. In addition, he wants to say thank you to the country music radio DJ's from all over the world, who choose to play his music on their programs and make it available to their respective listening audiences. This wide-spread support is genuinely appreciated by him and makes it possible for him to keep bringing out more new music in the future.

DeLon has two major goals: he would like to be able to perform live on the famous Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, TN. And, he would like to see one or more of his songs get recorded by one of the "major" stars of Nashville Country Music fame.

DeLon continues to make personal appearances in many different venues including: casinos, hotels, resorts, corporate events, charitable events, rodeos and RV resorts.

He loves the sounds of "TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC" and wants you to enjoy this album, as well as his debut album, knowing that those sounds are what you will hear, when you purchase an album, which he has recorded.

Where has this artist been? It is refreshing to hear new songs, but done with the traditional & classic sounds of country music as it used to be done. This album has something for everyone. A great selection of original music.
