Album Notes

"When you write your fiction, tell the Truth," goes one of the most poignant lines of the title track from Delphi's fourth album, The Long Countdown. In a world where the mainstream media is more fiction than fact, where artists are judged by their image rather than their heart, and where truth is everything you are told not to believe, The Long Countdown is a sonic thought that doesn't hesitate in its quest for the honest truth. Lyrically combining the cleverness of Buffy Sainte-Marie, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, and Leonard Cohen with exo-political poetry in a post-Matrix world, Delphi's The Long Countdown integrates information and poetry in an album of catchy folk, rock, hip hop, spoken word, and piano songs.

"This recorod is gonna f*** people up," says Josh Reeves, radio talk show host of the Global Reality Show who co-produced the album with songwriter Cheryl Anderson.
