Paul Tunkel aka Blynd Pauly aka Delta Paul, a true "BLUESMAN"



Paul Tunkel is the real deal, with a must have CD for blues enthusiasts. With his backwood slide guitar style and soul gripping vocals he captivates blues lovers everywhere. Influenced by players like Son House, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, and John Hammond he taps the roots of old time music.

Paul was born 11/19/1969 in Little Falls, New Jersey. Moving to the west coast at the age of three, he grew up in Modesto, California where he was exposed to blues music at an early age through his parents. Paul started playing guitar when he was 12 years old and attended Guitar Institue of Technology in Hollywood when he was a young man. His first blues competion in 2004 was at a club in Merced, Ca where he took 3rd place. This was the start of a great adventure.

Opening up for the world famous boogie blues band, Canned Heat in 2005 at the Modesto S.O.S. Club was a great break into the performing world for Paul. He also placed 2nd place in a banjo-fiddle contest in Columbia, Ca in 2005.

In July 2005 he relocated to Oklahoma where he performed at the OK Blues Society’s Memphis Bound Competiton as the only solo acoustic artist and took 3rd place. He now resides in Moore, a great place for blues men.
