Album Notes

The band got it's original roots back in October of 2003. Drummer Daniel Osborne was performing a drum solo for his Senior Homecoming competition, and recruited Alfredo Escano on the guitar to help him out. The next spring, the band recruited Daniel's brother Kenny originally on vocals until he switched to bass, and the band performed under the identity of the "Screaming Banshees".

After the summer of 04, the band took a rest for, well, like 8 months. At the beginning of 2005, the band came across veteran guitarist and lady-killer AJ Gonzalez, and added him to the roster. The band was now Daniel=drums, Kenny=bass, Alfredo=guitar, and AJ=guitar and vocals. The name "Screaming Banshees" was dropped, and the name "Delusions of Grandeur", coined by Mr. Gonzalez, was adopted.

After a couple performances, Alfredo was dropped from the band due to priority differences........or, he was a jerk and never showed up for practice. The band continued to write songs and book gigs since that fateful summer of 05, and has been tearing the Central Valley a new one ever since. The band has just finished recording it's first full-length album, "Got Your Glasses On?", at Ozbeezy Studios in Stockton and is continuing to play as many shows throughout the summer as possible.

In March, the band played a live show of epic proportions with the Extended Family of the Central Valley, including the Letter Blue, the Wannabe Trio, and Icarus Jones. The geniuses from Ozbeezy Studios were on site to capture the magic on tape, and a live CD from the show is currently in the works, slated for a mid-late summer release.

I have not heard anything like this in a long time. Driving verses, catchy choruses, and GUITAR SOLOS! Talent is evident in this recording. I HIGHLY recommend this record. Red hat is simply amazing, with BACKUP VOCALS, and an incredible guitar part. I'm speechless really. You will enjoy, no question.

Got Your Glasses On? {GYGO} is the greatest album of its time. Seriously! I listen to GYGO every single day. I love this album not only because of the amazing talent or the superb songwriting... I listen to GYGO because the range of instruments is so wide! This album covers the standard four band instruments: guitar, bass, drums, and vocals, but also includes so many more! Harmonica, trumpet, slap bass, and mandolin are just a few of the sounds incorporated into these terrific songs. The lyrics on this album are deep and penetrating -- and I can relate to them, too! If you buy GYGO, you will NOT regret it! Truly a great album!
