Album Notes

The Demands are:

Jahna Rain - Bass, Vocals, Lust
Jimmy Farrel - Drum Mayhem
John Pardo - Really Loud Guitar
Julia Rogers - Organ, Electric Piano, Vocals

Founded in 2000, The Demands play original music with the occasional cover of a forgotten soul b-side or unknown punk gem. Their stripped down sound blends old soul, greasy r & b, power pop and punk rock. Combined with Jahna's sultry growling and steamy lyrics, the Demands' music has been called, "sex-themed punk-soul."

New York City based, the Demands have given their all for audiences from 15 to 500 at local shows and venues, weekend tour dates on the East Coast, as well as at the 2003 Las Vegas Rockaround. The Demands have grown from the original three piece at times to include as many as six members. (two guitars, bass, drums, organ and baritone sax) and is now back down to a threesome. "We were feeling like a lot of important stuff had gotten buried under the enormous sound of this line-up, so we stripped it down again... we've been pretty lucky - we've had some amazing musicians and some super nice guys (and gals!) in the band over the last few years."
