Amy solo with her best so far, playing guitar, bass, saxes like a demon and singing better than ever. Strong arrangements, exact and exiting use of musical sound, and beautiful, seductive recording. Lyrical, tough, mysterious in proportions not available

Denio's a multi-instrumental home taper. After releasing various cassettes, this is her first solo CD, recorded on a TASCAM 4-track-midi cassette recorder.
Originally released by Kniting Factory Works, it's now available on her label Spoot Music. Adventures in stereo!
More than likely you’ll notice: fretted & fretless bass, electric & slide guitar, voices galore, alto sax, harmonica, alto recorder, bass mbira, popping bass calloused thumb joint on PZM mic, dishwasher, washing machine, low-fi Audio organ and the dreaded drum machine, all going in various directions at various speeds.
Featuring dB’s great-grandmother’s wind-up stuffed Bear on Lullabye.
Recorded on a TASCAM (4-track) Midistudio in the Madrona location of spacious Spoot Studios (the 4/8 foot space between the bed and the wall) February-April 1991, except B.C.B. and C.I.A., recorded at the Music Source in June 1988 with Ben Goldfarb engineering.
Mixed & produced in June 1991 at Jack Straw Productions, Muzak, Audio Images, and Bump It Up Productions.
All lyrics by Amy Denio except BUNT, by Alma Larsen.
All music written, performed & produced by AD.
