Denise Trudel, pianist
Professor at the Conservatoire de musique de la province de Québec à Trois-Rivières, Denise Trudel currently teaches piano, chamber music and gives lectures on piano literature. The quality of her teaching has resulted in many of her students achieving great success and, more often than not, first prizes and important awards at renowned music competitions, in both solo and chamber music categories.
An accomplished artist and musician, Denise Trudel divides her time and professional activities between teaching and concertizing.
She is a founding member of the Ensemble de musique de chambre and of the Orchestre Symphonique de Trois-Rivières, as well as a member of the Duo Trudel-Guelpa, she plays a very significant role in the cultural life of Québec. As a well established chamber music pianist, Denise Trudel often combines her talents on stage with many gifted Canadian artists.
Scènes de la forêt is her second solo album. Her first one Scènes d’enfance, released earlier in 2005 under the label MIREs, was immediately acclaimed by both the public and critics. This recording brings together the artistry of Robert Schumann, John Rea and Denis Dion.
