Denise Young...

Composer, Pianist, Recording Artist, Music Therapist

Love of music began in the dawn of life for this Missouri-born artist. The first inspiration for Denise was her father, a considerably talented pianist, performer and composer. A spark of fascination lit an intrinsic musical presence within her and by the age of four, Denise was playing by ear; at five she began studying piano and performed her first piano recital playing, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco". With influences from the classical masters to "Her Jude", Denise found music to be a natural way of expression and began creating music at the age of fourteen. She is very thankful for the gift that brings light to her seeds of inspiration, which root her into the musical soil.
Through the years, Denise has performed in many different venues throughout the US and Europe. She has contributed her talents to a number of worthy causes including a solo benefit concert for "Food for the Hungry", radio KDHX-FM, St. Louis, MO. She promoted her previous CD project, "Suite 16", a various artist collection, while performing at Border's Books and Music in 2001.
Denise earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Maryville University, St. Louis.
