Denis Keldie, one of Canada's foremost keyboardist has just released his first self-titled CD. Denis has appeared on over 100 albums as a much in-demand session artist. This CD of all original compositions was co-written with guitarist Bill Murray and features the extrordinary talent of well known drummer Paul DeLong.
In the tradition of the great organ trio artists like Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff and Groove Holmes, Denis adds his own twist to the genre. His drawbar work and tonal pallette is wide and unique. He coaxes totally original sounds from the instrument.
Whether it's the soul/funk of Despair Ye Not and Sidewards, the cool walking bass lines of Slippery Slope or the N'Orleans flavoured Gator Tales, Denis and the band always have something inspired to say.

I am a \"Smooth Jazz\" fan and also a Hammond Organ fan. This great album covers both genres well. I have it in my car CD changer. We need more like this one.

It's an absolute pleasure to listen to 3 musicians creating some great music LIVE. No Pro-Tools, no overdubs, no slice & dice. Just 3 people sitting in a room, communicating musically, with their hearts, souls, instruments & pure talents. More music today needs to be created just like this. If you like to hear music that's pure & real, then this is a title you need to get.
