Album Notes

About On The Go

On The Go was originally the title for My Grave Is Kept Clean. This particular 'On The Go' is a bunch of stuff that Dennis Driscoll found in his personal archives.

It starts with Power Outage (about a power outage that Driscoll experienced in Astoria, Oregon) which was recorded in Philadelphia, PA onto 4-Track by Driscoll, Jen Turrell and her mom Elizabeth Elgin (who plays harp)!

Tea Time is a song that Roger Gunnarsson and Driscoll worked on together. Gunnarsson had a Hip Hop ditty that he hadn't used for anything and Driscoll had this rap song about tea... so they basically just put it together and stuff.

Many songs on this disc were recorded by Driscoll's friend Phan Nguyen.

Billy Shears was played on by The Parenthetical Girls in Seattle, Washington... probably in 2003.

The Man, Dwarf And Troll was recorded in Bellingham, Washington by Driscoll's friend Alexander Clark.

This is a very diverse album. Lo-Fi is the primary genre! Scratchy, hissy, messy and yes sloppy!

Note

Dennis Driscoll is an independent pop musician and cartoonist from the Pacific Northwest. Normally, he composes on the guitar, his computer or on a piano but also composes music while singing to himself.
