Subliminal message comes on like old friends, playing just for you.
With such a name they have to sound good just to overcome the usual comments. It's not easy going thru life as a message so you have to earn respect, I guess, which they do with catchy song composition and all the little nuances included. The sound is a little Dire Straits with a mix of Dylan, Stones, and Petty thrown in. Add a little John Melloncamp and you have the basis for the MESSAGE, if there was a such thing.
There's no showing off on this cd. No 3 minute solos or reverbed hall sounds but it catches you off guard and reels you in.
This could be the next sleeper cd.
