Denny Berthiaume is a SanFrancisco based pianist-composer-arranger-playwright who has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Diane Schuur, and Ed Thigpen. He has recorded 4 albums with the '70s fusion group, SOLAR PLEXUS (Inner City Records); 3 cds with the ensemble Departure (OpenPath Music); a woodwind-piano duo cd with Terry Summa (YOU&ME); a solo piano cd (SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY) for Sugo Records; a two-act opera (BETWEEN THE DARKNESS); and a tour de force, all star group cd, LOVE ON TRACK (Flying Rabbit), with the best musicians in the BayArea.
Mr Berthiaume has appeared at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Russian River Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, and San Miguel de Allende International Jazz Festival.
He is emeritus professor of literature/music at Foothill College, Los Altos, CA, and a published playwright.
SUMMER WISHES, WINTER DREAMS is Denny's 3rd solo piano cd, released concurrently with his 2nd cd, ONE FOR THE ROAD.
