-

Q - What is “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”?

A - “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” is over 600 drawings edited together with a full soundtrack of dialogue, sound effects, and 11 unforgettable original songs.

-

Q –What’s "Anonymous Celebrities” story about?

A - Nerdy Herbert meets saintly Annie, the holier-than-thou girl of his dreams. But Herbert's plans for romance might be derailed by a nasty punk rocker, a deranged mad scientist, obsessed federal agents... and mysterious aliens bent on destroying the planet!

-

Q – What’s an animatic?

A – An animatic is like a really, really, really slow cartoon. And it’s all in black and white! Yay!

-

Q - How long is “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”?

A - It’s 99 minutes of pure, unadulterated bliss!

-

Q – Is “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” professionally produced?

A – No, “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” was produced and edited by a team of two, and is the creative creation of just one guy. The animatic was originally never intended to be seen by a general audience. Rather, “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” was produced with the intention of showing to potential investors in order to raise money for a live action movie version. The animatic was also to be used as a blueprint to ease the production of the feature film.

-

Q – Where can I see “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”?

A - “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” is available online for rental or purchase download right now at Amazon.com!

-

Q – Where can I get a DVD of “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”, or a CD of “Anonymous Celebrities” the soundtrack?

A – Currently, “Anonymous Celebrities”, the animatic and the soundtrack are available exclusively online only. However, for the animatic there is some really great stuff tucked away in the vault for the eventual Criterion Holographic Gold-Ray 3D 10th Anniversary Deluxe Special Edition!

-

Q – It sounds like you’re selling the animatic here and not the album. Is that the case?

A – Well, the album is meant to promote the animatic, and I hope fans of one will consider purchasing the other as well. Hopefully they will promote each other. I think business types call it “synergy”, but I don’t really know, and I’m too lazy to take 10 seconds and look it up.

-

Q – You may call it “synergy”, but I call it borderline spam.

A – Hey, hey. I’m only trying to sell some stuff. You knew that. Why so hostile?

-

Q – Sorry. I didn’t sleep well last night.

A – Oh, I’m sorry about that. Would you like a shoulder massage?

-

Q – Yes, please.

A – There we go.

-

Q – Ahh…

A - How is that?

-

Q – Ooh…

A – Wow, you are tense. How is that?

-

Q – Thank you. That felt really great.

A – No problem at all. Anytime.

-

Q – Why are there more than twice as many songs on the soundtrack than there are in the animatic?

A – “Anonymous Celebrities” the soundtrack has songs that were deleted from the animatic, instrumental music cues, as well as a bonus full length punk rock album by the Hateful Lovers, the band featured in the show.

-

Q – Why did you record a Hateful Lovers album?

A - The Hateful Lovers album was always intended to be a companion album to the soundtrack, and has now been included in this deluxe version to give a complete sampling of the music being created during the production of “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”.

-

Q – Is “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” safe for children?

A – No! There are a lot of dirty words (although used in a non-sexual way), a few mild drug references, and some violence. “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” should be fine for most teens, though. Despite the language in the script and certain dramatic elements of the storyline, “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” is still fairly silly and sophomoric.

Actually, teens may think it’s beneath them!

-

Q – Let’s get down to brass tacks. Is “Anonymous Celebrities” any good?

A – I’m the creator, so I better think it’s good, shouldn't I?

-

Q – Wow. Now who’s being touchy?

A – Well, I’m the one trying to sell you the album and the animatic. You really think I’m going to tell you that I think it sucks? Come on.

-

Q – If you did think “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” sucked, that would be interesting.

A – Why?

-

Q – It would be unexpected if you thought that “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” sucked and admitted it. But, stranger things have happened. Maybe
you’re crazy or something. The fact is, I’ve read the whole FAQ this far. There must be something compelling about these liner notes if I’m still reading it at this point.

A – You honestly want to know what I think of “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”?

-

Q – Yes. What do you honestly think of “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”?

A – The plot is riddled with giant holes, it’s silly, and frankly a lot of it doesn’t make much of sense. The artwork ranges from horrible to mediocre. The characters aren’t particularly likeable. I know that a great many people will likely be put off by the style, and that it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But, I really do think it has an interesting storyline that moves along quickly, and parts of it are pretty funny. I think a few of the characters have interesting story arcs. I’m proud of the songs, and a few of the jokes as well. Honestly, I like “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” a lot. Sometimes it might seem a little embarrassing and cheap, but I think overall, all things considered, it is essentially entertaining and worth watching.

-

Q – Do you think religious people will be offended by the way Annie is portrayed in “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”?

A – That’s a good question, I’m glad you asked it. The animatic is irreverent for sure, but it is always respectful. Without giving too much away, in the end she is essentially successful at converting him to her religion, so I don’t see how any religious types could take offense at anything in “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic”.

-

Q – Fess up. Did you or did you not steal a song idea from Flight Of The Conchords?

A – No! The Flight Of The Conchords song in question is called “The Humans Are Dead”, also known as “Robots”. The song was featured on the “Flight Of The Conchords” TV show pilot episode “Sally”. The episode debuted on the American cable channel HBO on June 17, 2007.

Unfortunately, for the conspiracy crowd, I obtained my registered copyright of the soundtrack and script for “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” in the fall of 2005. So, THEY actually stole it from ME.

In light of that fact, I am assembling a high powered team of super lawyers right now, and I’m just going to sue like it was about to go out of style. Sue, sue, sue. I am going to be so sue happy, it will be ridiculous. My high priced lawyers’ ties aren’t going to press themselves. Watch out, Flight Of The Conchords. By the time I’m done with you, you won’t even have a TV show anymore. Book it. Done.

-

Q – I want to produce “Anonymous Celebrities” as a live stage production for a middle school/off-Broadway/Broadway, ect. Theater company. How do I go about obtaining the rights?

A – As sure as the sun sets in the sky, I am resigned to the fact that there will eventually be a live stage production of “Anonymous Celebrities”, somewhere, at sometime. Even if staged only once in the distant future, in a remote location, and only ironically for an audience of none, it will someday happen. Just as winter must give way to spring, and as seeds grow to mighty oaks, it is almost as great a surety as has ever been visited upon humankind.

Just contact me, and I’m sure that something can be worked out.

-

Q – Should I buy “Anonymous Celebrities” right now?

A – Why not take some time to think about it? Maybe go make some tea and reconsider the purchase? I’m sure your kids need a dental checkup soon. Perhaps you yourself are in need of a fresh pack of socks. Wouldn't that be a wiser use of your money?

Oh, who am I kidding? I can see it in your eyes. You’re determined to download the album right the freak now, aren’t you?

-

Q – Yes.

A – I knew it! I knew it! You had that look. And then, after you’ve gotten the album, I bet you’re ready to go right to Amazon and get a download of “Anonymous Celebrities – The Animatic” for yourself!

-

Q – You read me like a book.

A – Or do I… listen to you like a soundtrack album?

-

Q – Or… watch you like an animatic, hmm?

A – Ha ha ha! Well played, Mr. or Ms. Questioner, well played!

-

Q – Thank you for answering my questions!

A – Thank you for asking me questions!
