Excellent piece of work from an exceptional musician
Loved the Jazz. Great CD. We now Deon's next, and would ask for just the keyboard without drums and voices. Great to listen to in any form of course, but we enjoy it as backgound music also, when company comes. It never
intrudes but always attracts comment. Wonderful talent.

A thoroughly gorgeous and satisfying collection to listen to over and over. No "jazzing things up", just for the sake of jazzing things up. These are thoughtful, intelligent and beautiful arrangements, where his love of and respect for hymns is as obvious as his jazz musicianship and his artistry. Even if you don't ordinarily listen to jazz, you will appreciate the fresh, interesting takes on these traditional, well-loved hymns of the faith.
