The original music of the San Francisco Bay Area group Departure is featured on its debut CD, TWELVE SONGS (Open Path Music, 2003). The music is American, both instrumental and vocal--an amalgam of tone poem, wit, and many genres. The instrumentation is vocal (soprano), guitar, piano, bass, and drums. The music was prepared and produced with a minimum of electronic application (i.e., 90% was recorded as performed).
Open Path Music includes multi-media, sound design, and music videos.
Departure has begun work on its second CD.
