Introducing Deravae
AKA
Robert & Bray


These two young men met in junior high school and had been friends, but felt more like brothers. They both discovered a passion for music at an early age and were very active in school programs, playing in the band and the chorus. Robert and Bray are accomplished musicians Robert plays keyboards, piano and drums. Bray plays alto saxaphone, keyboards and piano but it wasn't until high school that they formed their first group, "Soothin' Touch." The group consisted of six members all from the school chorus class. Like many young groups they sought leadership and hired a manager. after years of broken promises, numerous member changes. They made the decision to change the type of music they performed from R&B to Gospel.

After much deliberation, Bray decided to leave Soothin' Touch and focus on his career in retail management. Robert on the other hand decided to stay with the group and for two years he and Bray lost all contact with each other. Soothin' Touch released the single "Saved." Robert left the group shortly after that and along with one other member formed "Dazay." Robert focused his attention on r&b and was headed for a prominent career when his new group began to fall apart. That's when he turned to an old friend in Bray, asking him to join the current trio. Bray accepted, and they went on to record several songs. But as fate would have it ego's, bad management along with lies, deceit, many broken promises and lost revenues. "Dazay" sank like the Titantic!

This time Robert and Bray left and formed what is know today as "Deravae" along with a silent partner who believed they have a great deal to offer started their own production company. "Deravae" is french, its meaning is: From dreams. Robert and Bray had a very simple plan. they wanted their own production company and studio in house. By doing this they didn't have to worry about realizing their dreams of becoming recording artist. Unlike in the past with all of the other groups that they were a part of, they knew that nothing could stop them this time. When it comes to music they are as one. Robert and Bray both have unique styles and when they are together there is no denying that they have what it takes to make it in the music industry. Along with the silent partner Music House Productions, inc. was born.

Robert and Bray wrote, produced, recorded and mixed all of the songs. it's been 6 months of constant work and dedication many twenty four hour sessions of laying down tracks and recording vocals. The sky is limit for this talented duo and they are determined to let nothing stand in the way of their success and their pursuit of what they feel is true R&B.

They want to rekindle the sounds they heard around the house as children listening to their parents music. Greats like Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Sam Cooke, Smokie Robinson, Barry White, Parliament Funkadelic, Earth, Wind & Fire, and The Time the list is endless. current influences include Brian Mcknight, Maxwell, Prince, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Alicia Keys and K-ci & jojo.

They are ready to take on the music industry, in hopes of saving a dying art. They want to give back to the world what was given to them by god, the gift of true music. Robert and Bray are hungry and eager to please the fans of true R&B, in hopes of being crowned the new kings of rhythm and blues.
