"IMAGINATION THEATRE" is written and produced by the prolific Jim French, whose works are found on the air, throughout the globe.  Heard on over 200 radio stations in the U.S., IMAGINATION THEATRE also airs in Canada, Australia, Europe, and on XM Satellite Radio. Pulling together French's writing/producing talent, as well as casts of top-notch radio personalities, this CD, contains 3 suspenseful examples of Turner's enduring contributions to the art of acting.  It will more than satisfy those who know drama.

Recorded in front of live studio audiences of at least 400, in one take, the pressure to perform equals that of old-time radio dramas.  This collection features episodes similar to, but not borrowing from, the situations presented in Rod Serling's "THE TWILIGHT ZONE" series.

---In the first show, "...but The Flesh is Weak," Derek Turner plays The Abbott.  It delivers a haunting warning about the use of strong street-drugs, and armed robberies of pharmacies, with a twist.

---The second mysterious presentation, "Quirk," stars Turner as Dr. Loveland.  It's a plea for society to have compassion upon those less fortunate than luckily "normal" individuals.  Both actor Mark Wayne's (John Wayne's son's) and news media great, Susan Hutchison's, characters, are left perplexed as to where to turn to next.

---And lastly, the third bizarre tale, "The Great God Donald," stars Turner in the role of Albert Coletti, and co-stars both WKRP IN CINNCINATTI's Richard Sanders (weatherman, Les Nessman) and NORTHERN EXPOSURE's Peg Phillips (Ruth-Ann).  The story of a man who never psychologically grew up, and just so happens, believes that he's...God!

TURNER stars in each episode, and certainly brings home the bacon, as modern-day radio actor.
If sitting on the end of your chair, or hanging on every word of dialogue, as it unfolds, is your brand of entertainment, then IMAGINATION THEATRE is the nail-biter for you.  We believe your trembling, wrung-out hands will be searching for your credit card or checkbook.

Derek is a multi-faceted talent.  His expertise extends into the fields of film, television, radio, acting, directing, and producing.  If that's not enough, you can find his musical composition and lyric writing abilities here as well, at HYPERLINK "http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/repeten"www.cdbaby.com/cd/repeten.  Turner's CD, "DREAMING" is performed by Seattle's psychedeliChristian, end-times warning, studio ensemble, Repeten.  Dreaming is only a 3 song release, and aptly priced.   Slow psychedelic pop, that's easy on the ears.  Hop over to it by following the link, on the lower, left-hand side of the page.

"PIMPY" [follow links to 2-part flick, lower left of page].  This 12-minute, black and white short was filmed in 1983.   Brought to you by CARMICHAEL FILMS, this multi-international-film-festival-AWARD-WINNING story of an "Odd, but pleasant young man," is endearingly unique.  Turner plays Pimpy's father, HEMMY, while Jon Blackstone plays the title role, PIMPY.

Finally, Derek Turner's latest comedy film short, "IT CAME FROM THE LABOR POOL" won Best Film Short by Audience Decision.  Turner plays lead role, VAN SASKIA.  [see link on lower left of page]  7 mins.
As always, don't forget the extra butter on your popcorn!!!

Dear CD Baby Consumer:

Derek Turner is a flexible actor, or should we say, many flexible actors? If you tune into Imagination Theater, on your local station, you'll find Turner playing a great variety of parts. Always, as sincere a performance as one could ask for. Often the listener gets the impression, that perhaps he performs multiple roles in shows. Without credit acknowledgment. Maybe without any credit at ALL, in certain episodes. Who knows? With this actor, you'll find it quite possible. I.T. writer, Jim French keeps the audience riveted with his ingenious, original ideas about key moral issues, and Derek is quick to pick up on the nuances Jim intends to put out there. Want to make that trip to Grandma's a little less stagnant? This collection will fill the ticket. Believe me. Sincerely, Write Household Entertainment Monitor, Pat Wright
