Columbus Ohio native Deric Anderson can't remember a time when he wasn't singing. Deric grew up listening to some of the greatest R&B and Gospel artists of yesterday. These talented artists included, Sam Cooke, The Temptations, Shirley Caesar, Andre Crouch, and Albertina Walker. As a youth growing up in Bessemer Alabama, the Anderson household was filled with music which was an important aspect of life. This music helped the family cope with the twist and turns of society and life in general.

He learned from his father "Ray Anderson" (Professional Boxer and #2 Light Heavyweight Contender in his era out of Anniston, Alabama) and mother "Dee Anderson" that worked for a local Bank, that hard work, loyalty, persistence, and talent were the guidelines for success. Deric was also well aware of the fact that Faith and Trust in God was the key to making all of his dreams come true. Amazingly, with his love of music, devotion to Christ, and willingness and determination to succeed, Deric had developed a firm foundation.

In 2004, while singing with the Faith Ministries Praise Team, Playwright and Director Ron Pitts heard Deric sing for the first time. Later that day Mr. Pitts asked Deric to audition for a role in his upcoming play “Love and Street Corner Harmony". After the audition, Deric landed the role of the famous singing icon Jackie Wilson mainly because of his versatile vocal range but also because he bared uncanny resemblance to the star.

This launched Deric's acting career and he went on to star in other plays such as, "God What Color is written by Ron Pitts and Raymond Wise President of Raise Productions, "The Third Day", and "Love Explosion: If I were your Woman. Now with his incredible Debut Release "Created to Praise", Deric is proving that Faith can move Mountains.
