Gratitude Note…


Diaspora Negra Double CD is a long-term Recording project that started back in 2002 and finished in September 2008. The mission of this adventure was to explore the power of improvisation in traditional & contemporaneous Afro-Peruvian music. We want to express our deep gratitude to all artists that collaborated to this project especially to Vladimir Vukanovich and Master of Masters Lalo Izquierdo for their unconditional support since the beginning. Also to our Local San Francisco Bay Area Talent: Alberto “Obatala” Palomino, Ivan Lino Montes, Julio Bermudez, Carlos Britto, Silvestre Martinez, Lichi Fuentes, Fernanda Bustamante, Jose Roberto Hernandez, Jorge Molina, Javier Nunton, Jose Soto, Iain Mann “El Vikingo”; The renown singers: Pepe Vasquez, Marina Lavalle, Jorge Luis Jasso, Giomar Antonio (RIP), David Mina, Lucho Cabrera, Rosa Los Santos, Julio Bravo, Felix & Jose Francisco Valdelomar; it is also important to mention what an honor it was to have the best musicians of this genre collaborating with their top-notch skills such Octavio Ticona (RIP), Mariano Liy, Felipe Pumarada, David Pinto, Alfredo Muro, Gigio Parodi, Frank Perez, Percy Recavarren, Juan Medrano Cotito, Hugo Bravo, Braulio Barrera, Lucho Vasquez, Marcos Mosquera among others. And last but not least the dancers of the group that always collaborated unconditionally to reach the fulfillment of this dream.
