Originally a trio, this cult phenomenon has become an amorphous performance ensemble that expands to quintet status whenever they can. Comprised of solo artists Terri Mayeur, Robin Basset, Linda Stromquist, Nancy Steely, and Peggy Monaghan, this group brings a huge diversity of styles to their recordings and shows.

Though essentially an a Capella ensemble, you just never know what these women will do on stage. Their shows feature a mix of instruments from kazoos and penny whistle to guitar, flute, violin and piano. Their fine musicianship, humor and gracious classiness have made The Derry Aires a much anticipated highlight of many local and national productions. Fellow musician Robin Hopper calls them "Stellar." Their 2000 release, Cheek to Cheek met with rave reviews as has their 2006 release, Built for Comfort. Now they bring you a fresh perspective on the holidays with Frozen Assets.

Frozen Assets grew out of a yearly caroling tour that raised funds for homeless children's programs in Anchorage. The Caroling for Spare Change Tour brought The Derry Aires and their friends out to the galleries and stages to panhandle for kids causes. A popular highlight for both the carolers and the carolees, Arctic Siren decided to produce a cd to enable The Derry Aires to go home with each and every one of you.
