Désiré Betty’s ‘Follow Me’ is an anthem about today’s mass media influence on the world. She denotes, I find myself to be true and unique, although inevitably inspired by things that are already out there. I pride myself on putting my own personal twist on everything that I do. Whether or not it will be accepted by the masses is not my concern, as long as I stay true to myself and am happy in what I do and exude. ‘Follow Me’ took on a powerful underlying tribal mood, with the percussion sounds, while also neglecting to overthink the processes involved, in order to, achieve that free-flowing, entrancing feeling.
