ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Detect started writing rhymes and beats in '92. He got into the local scene when he started a hip-hop radio show at 3MU Monash Union Radio in '95 and the first weekly hip-hop night in Melbourne: "The Cypher". Since then Tek has gone on to do shows in Australia and the United States performing alongside acts such as Living Legends, Naughty by Nature, Breez Evahflowin' and Public Enemy. His debut album "Deep Investigation" is a mix of conspiracy theories, sci-fi and politics over a variety of self-produced beats. His next release - the EP "Dropzone" takes a more intropsective and philosophical look at life and freedom. Recently he, along with Digga and Weapon X collaborated on the Korean hip-hop compilation MP 2002 which has sold in excess of 60,000 units throughout Asia. Detect has also featured on J-Wess' "Tha LP" on the posse cut "Roll Call" .

Detect does a fine job. His lyrics is excelent, but I especially like his beats whích he has produced by himself. Also he's flow is nice and I really like his voice, if you like immortal technique you'll probably like this one, I give 3 stars because it is a nice experience, it's worth the time, and the money

After hearing Deep Investigation a good thirty times at least, I'd say I have a pretty accurate view of how the album is. The title of the album; 'Deep Investigation' has the theme followed through, throughout the 16 track deep release.

This LP grew on me more and more with each listen, initially it didn't seem too outstanding but those thoughts changed. To the best of my knowledge, this is Detect's first LP, and I have to say it's impressive. Definitely worth purchasing.

This is like a musical version of your favorite conspiracy book.
This album traveled a long way. First of all it came to earth in Australia and then was shipped all the way to Switzerland. But more importantly, the content of the album was sucked out of far far away galaxies, stories that traveled through time, crypted and now de-crypted, and emotions that are as old as thought itself. This is like a musical version of your favorite conspiracy book. And as that it's highly enjoyable, scary for those facing these alternative truths for the first time, and a strong confirmation to those that quote "Behold A Pale Horse" at least three times a day. This album will be playing to you in a fast movie, fast page turner, kind of way, without it being pulp literature. It also does not copy vibes of US popularity, but approaches the main ingredients, in a confident 'who gives a fuck' kind of way. Just don't mention on the phone or in an email that you listen to this, cause beware: Big Brother is watching you.
