Album Notes

I received my undergraduate degree from Butler University and my Master’s degree in vocal performance from Indiana University. My educational background notwithstanding, the music is from my heart, derived from personal experiences and my walk with the Lord. Since I was a little girl, I sang in church, and later performed in various opera’s and musicals. I've had the wonderful opportunity to travel around the country as well as abroad to perform. However, my first and true love is to allow God to use the gift He gave me for His glory, and to speak through me His words of encouragement.

My prayer is that this music will encourage those who listen to seek and fulfill their own destinies. The message to you is to never give up; don’t quit! No matter what happens in your life, God does not change. He still wants you to succeed. Allow God to live His life through you, and you will surely succeed. Most of all – “trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.”

Why I Sing - When I was twelve years old my mother’s best friend took me to see my first live concert. It was Tramaine Hawkins. It was wonderful, and from that moment I knew that I wanted to sing. So many people try their hand at so many things, and like many others, I’ve been employed doing so many things. However, I have always known that music is the calling on my life and it is to be my main occupation. I sing because I must; I need the music of the Lord to survive. His music gives me strength, encouragement, endurance, and joy! It is the source of my abundant life. I praise God for His gift of song to me. Thank You Jesus!
