Album Notes

Deuces Wild formed in the late 1980s, playing original Rockabilly material mixed with covers from the original Rock 'n' Roll era. The trio line-up was an immediate hit with fans of The Stray Cats, as Deuces Wild shared many of the same influences as the 'Cats. Front man Pete Hague also played a mean Gretsch guitar and had a knack for writing catchy songs. This together with the minimal stand-up drum kit and upright double bass made comparisons inevitable.

Deuces Wild established themselves with their debut album "Brutal Purity", which led to gigs nationwide and overseas. They followed up with "Johnny Rider", from which the vinyl EP "Cadillac Rust" was taken.

Their gigging slowed down and eventually ground to a halt in the mid-1990s, but recently founder members drummer Si Roth and singer/guitarist Pete Hague reformed the band and are up and gigging once again. Expect new material soon!
