Album Notes

Devil Blare is a Kansas City based solo artist and multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for writing catchy and quirky songs. His new LP “As The Journeyman” captures the mood of the 60s by paying obvious homage to The Kinks and Stones as well as The Pretty Things and early Pink Floyd. Devil Blare plays all of the instruments on the record aside from the drumming which is supplied by Federation of Horsepower’s Kriss Ward. Thematically, Devil Blare’s offering paints the portrait of “The Journeyman” through each song, giving a glimpse of an everyman always one step behind in the past struggling to keep up with the modern world.
