ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From the front porch of the Flinthills in East Central Kansas comes The DeWayn Brothers. After a full year of touring, doing 253 dates in 2006, we have evaded Oklahoma cops searching the bus, 9 inches of snow in Illinois, more cops in Arkansas, 110 degrees of New Mexico, more cops in Texas, and all the big city driving you can do in a 40 foot bus. The DeWayn Brothers are a fast paced insurgent bluegrass band drawing influences from old timey bluegrassers, to punk rock and metal, their shows are high energy from start to finish. With possibly the best female vocalist in the midwest, Jamie Lee belts out songs of lost loves and bad guys, to The Boy singing about death and drinking or just picking a good ol' banjo song about gettin rabies from your own dog DeWayn is pushing their Kansgrass sound all over the country. With Josh Finley possibly one of the fastest mando players in the country and an incredible artist added to the mix you would think he was an 80's shredder not a bluegrass mandolin player.

"Farmer" The fourth DeWayn Brothers CD was recorded the 2nd week of February 2007, at The Ninth Ward Pickin Parlor in Lawrence Ks. Recorded and Produced by Mike West, this CD shows that The DeWayn Brothers are well on their way. With tight arrangments, and killer harmonies, this is definitly a CD you should add to your collection

Farmer
love this CD, love this band, saw them on the Cayamo Cruise and at the Merangay (sp?) at Grand Cayman...they give bluegrass such an attitude and Jami's voice, well, it's amazing. My favorite song so far is Hangover, but the more I listen to the rest of the Cd I'm sure I'll find another favorite. I could listen to Josh play that mandolin all day! I'm hoping they'll come out to the Pacific NW sometime soon, I can't wait to see them live again. Thanks for the great service from CD Baby too, I like your attitude!

Can't Wait
I work security on the cruises with these guys. I saw them perform 25 or 30 time. I can't wait to see them thirty more.
I bought this CD last year and have played it hundreds of times.
The songs tell great stories, the boys in the band are awesome, and Jami has the voice that could be on any radio in the country.
See you guys on the boat!!!
