"d-fyning a new sound in music"
Originally, the band began with the lead singer Colin. He had aspirations of starting a band that brought different sounds and elements to it. In other words, he wanted to define a new sound. Colin joined forces with Nez, the keyboard player, who had previously been producing tracks for a few years. This turned out to be a perfect fit since Nez brought a sense of a musical genius to the mix. Wayne joined after his Mom, while she was a student in one of Colin's Hip Hop dance classes, told Colin about him. It turned out that Wayne was a heck of a guitarist who deviated from the norm with his playing. Hence, three elements were in place.
While performing at Six Flags Astroworld, Colin met Blakely who was playing drums for one of the shows. Blakely's drumming so impressed Colin that he asked him to join the band. After Blakely heard some of the musical ideas that Colin and Nez had put together, he decided to join the band. Kelly, the other guitarist came to Colin's attention through a mutual friend that worked with him during Fright fest at Six Flags. Kelly's musical knowledge was very impressive and seemed like a perfect fit for the type of music that the band played. Finally after the initial bass player Ben Gomez departed for life in Austin, Texas, the band needed a bass player. It was here that Colin's dad assumed the role of bass player. He had recently started playing and fit the profile perfectly.
Everyone in the band brings a fresh and creative edge to the music. The backgrounds are as wide and varied as they come. From the exuberance of youth in the youngest member Kelly, to the stability and wisdom that come with the age of the oldest member Earl, the only boundary the music has is our imagination and that is wide open.
